Karina has a strong passion for women’s health and loves coming to work every day!

Karina has further training in a variety of different areas of pelvic health including musculoskeletal/pelvic pain, endometriosis, clinical exercise, pelvic floor dysfunction, abdominal wall rehab and lymphoedema physiotherapy. Karina loves a challenge and particularly enjoys treating complex conditions.

Karina has completed postgraduate studies at the University of Melbourne to further her expertise in pelvic floor dysfunction and she currently treats a variety of different issues (including bladder/bowel incontinence or dysfunction, prolapse, sexual/period/pelvic pain and abdominal wall concerns).

Karina also has qualifications in pain science and education which place her in a unique position to treat persisting pelvic pain and endometriosis.

As a trained lymphoedema practitioner, Karina can assist you with lymphoedema prevention and management. Karina particularly enjoys treating shoulder dysfunction and fitting compression garments which can significantly improve your quality of life. Karina is particularly interested in early intervention and lymphoedema screening to help increase the chances of managing your symptoms early and more efficiently.

One of Karina’s favourite things about her job is educating her patients and working to empower them to get back to the things they love doing!

Karina serves on the Continence Foundation of Australia (CFA) Physiotherapy Group Committee which has a role in providing professional development to other pelvic health physiotherapists. Karina also has a love for teaching and as part of the Pain Revolution, mentors other health professionals in the treatment of complex persisting pain.

Outside of work, Karina is an avid Pilates goer herself and enjoys sampling new cafes in the area. If you have any recommendations she is all ears!
